Members of the Social Studies Department
The Social Studies Department consists of four main subject teachers and eight teachers who teach one or two classes each.
Mr. Richard Tresidder is the head of the Social Studies Department. He is a History and Social Studies teacher with 34 years teaching experience. He has been teaching in the Cayman Islands since 1976 and was recognized in 2001 for outstanding service to education in the Cayman Islands. Mr. Tressider teaches grades 7, 8 and 9 sets 1 to 3.
Mrs. I. Dilbert has taught for the past 27 years at different levels in both high and middle school. This includes preparing students for external examination. She has been teaching in the Cayman Islands since 1989 and presently teaches grades 7, 8 and 9 sets 1 to 3.
Miss M. Eldemire has been teaching in the Cayman Islands since 1993. She has 20 years teaching experience at all levels in both high and middle schools. Presently she teaches grades 7, 8 and 9 sets 1 and 2.
Mrs. C. Hyatt joined the Social Studies department in 2001 with 12 years teaching experience. She presently teaches grades 7, 8 and 9 sets 1 to 3.
Miss I. Morris has been teaching in the Cayman Island for the past ___ years. She is a member of the R.E. department who teaches Social Studies to two year 9 classes.
Ms. A. King-Williams has been in the Cayman Islands since 2001. She is a member of the R.E. Department and presently teaches Social Studies to two year 9 classes.
Mr. Steve Smith is the head of Humanities with 24 years teaching experience. He has been teaching in the Cayman Islands for the last 14 years. Presently Mr. Smith teaches Social Studies to grades 7 and 8 set 4 students who need learning support.
Ms. W. Cumberbatch is a member of the Learning Support Department (Humanities) and teaches Social Studies to grades 8 and 9 set 4. Ms. Cumberbatch has been teaching in the Cayman Islands since 1997.
Miss P. Ross has been teaching in the Cayman Islands for the past 13 years. She is a member of the Learning Support Department (Humanities) and teaches Social Studies to grades 8 and 9 set 4.
Mrs. S. Tresidder is the head of Life Skill Education but teaches one class of year 8 Social Studies.
Mrs. L. Monteith is a Senior Tutor who teaches two classes of year 8 Social Studies.
Mr. B. Taylor is the senior master. He teaches one class of year 8 Social Studies.
