Mathematics Challenge
was mounted in the Mathematics Quadrangle, a shady area in the Mathematics Block.
A Year 7 quiz
between two mixed ability teams from the Saturn /Neptune half of that year
group was held during the first period of the day.
A whole school quiz
based on the 500 Years of Mathematics display took place throughout the day. A Mathematics
Treasure Hunt was held at lunch time. A lecture
session on the use of Mathematics in the Workplace, featuring a number of
parents was held for some of the Year 9 students. And finally in
all other mathematics class teachers planned activities that showed how
Mathematics can be fun and challenging. Students
