Teaching Staff

At present George Hicks has 80 staff. The school is managed by the Principal and a Senior Management Team. These are supported by Heads of subject Departments.   

All staff have an opportunity and responsibility to participate in policy development.

There are 5 main subject groupings:

• Language and Communication

• Mathematics

• Science

• Humanities

• Creative and Expressive Arts/Recreation

As well as teaching staff George Hicks also has a number of non-teaching staff. These are valuable members of the school who support the teachers in their work and contribute to the smooth running of the school.

Students are made aware that all adults working on the campus are important and that the school depends on their services to operate efficiently. As befits the ethos of the school all must be treated with courtesy and respect.
