DISCIPLINE

Discipline is based on self-discipline and respect for and tolerance of others.

All students have the right to learn in a safe and secure environment free from disruptive and threatening behaviour.

Persistent inappropriate behaviour will be communicated to parents/guardians via the subject teacher or Tutor. We expect parents to be supportive of the school in dealing with any inappropriate behaviour.

The school has measures in place to respond to poor behaviour including but not limited to withdrawal from lessons, detention during and/or after school and suspension.

The school will use every means at its disposal to deal with behavioral problems or problems of a criminal nature. The Police, Social Services and Educational Psychologists are all available to the school. A member of the Royal Cayman Islands Police Community Service department is stationed at the school.

Discipline is the responsibility of all members of staff but special responsibility lies with the 4 Senior Tutors, Senior Master and Deputy Principal (Pastoral) who may administer corporal punishment if appropriate.
